Karter Gonzalez and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Hesston picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Karter Gonzalez. Gonzalez rushed for 232 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hesston pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Gonzalez and Hesston will look to defend their home field on Friday against Riley County.

Wray Made His Presence Known in Haven's 49-7 Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Nash Wray stepped things up a notch to give Haven the 'W'. Wray was unstoppable, throwing for 197 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
On the year, Wray has thrown 13 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 159.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had seven passing touchdowns.

Creed Posts Huge Game in 31-13 Win
Braxton Creed was a major factor in Halstead's victory over Ellsworth on Friday. Creed was unstoppable, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 137 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Halstead's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Creed and Halstead will challenge Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns from Taye Wilson
Taye Wilson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.
This season, Wilson has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 126.7 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 49.33 rushing yards per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Jimmy Gardner Leads Larned over Southwestern Heights
On Friday, Larned got the W thanks in part to Jimmy Gardner playing the best football he has all season. Gardner rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards.
Larned moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Gardner's next contest is against Hoisington on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.
