Basketball Recap: Sweetwater Comes Up Short

Sweetwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clyde Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-37 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Madeline Underwood, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 20 boards for Clyde. Those 26 points gave Underwood a new career-high. Mikayla Kinslow was another key player, putting up six points.

Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Clyde, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.

Sweetwater has already played their next match (against Wall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clyde has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Grape Creek.
