The Carbon Dinos are taking a road trip to square off against the North Sanpete Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Carbon is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 18th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Juab. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Dinos haven't been shut out since back in March.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-19.

Carbon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Grant Mathis, who had nine assists and six digs, and Charles Tima, who had nine digs and two aces. Tima has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, North Sanpete came up short against Salt Lake Academy on Monday and fell 3-1. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Griffins 25-17 in the first set.
North Sanpete started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-20.
This is the second loss in a row for Carbon and nudges their season record down to 14-9. As for North Sanpete, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season.
Carbon skirted past North Sanpete 2-1 in their previous matchup on April 11th. Do the Dinos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
