Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley Falls). They walked away with a 51-41 win over the Perry-Lecompton Kaws on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Valley Falls found their leader in sophomore Cali DeLong, who posted 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DeLong has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Abbigail Wilson, who earned four points and ten rebounds.

Valley Falls smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Valley Falls' win bumped their record up to 3-17. As for Perry-Lecompton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Coming up, Valley Falls will face off against Wabaunsee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Wabaunsee's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while Valley Falls has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. Perry-Lecompton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
