Volleyball Recap: Liberty Center Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Liberty Center had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Edon Bombers. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Liberty Center got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-17.

Arianah Brown paced Liberty Center's offense, picking up 15 kills. Brown got some help from Aubree Zeiter and her 22 assists. Brown was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Edon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Avery Aldrich, who had 14 digs and two assists. Grace Ripke was another key player, getting eight digs and five kills.

Liberty Center's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Edon, they moved to 14-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coincidentally, Liberty Center and Edon will both be playing Hicksville the next time they take the court. The Bombers will host the Aces at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
