Union Academy had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cuthbertson Cavaliers. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 25-17.

Dhruv Srinivasan paced Union Academy's offense, picking up 22 kills. Srinivasan got some help from Carter Zorn and his 29 assists. Zorn was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Union Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Cuthbertson, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Union Academy will square off against Sun Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cuthbertson, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Weddington on the 12th.
