Football Recap: Battle Ground Academy Piles Up the Points Against Greenwich Country Day

It was a proper cat-fight when Battle Ground Academy faced off against Greenwich Country Day on Friday. The Wildcats took their game with ease, bagging a 62-28 victory over the Tigers. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Battle Ground Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaedyn Marable, who threw for 324 yards and six touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, Marable racked up 168.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Maddox Porter was Marable's top target, picking up 103 receiving yards and three TDs.

The win keeps Battle Ground Academy at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Battle Ground Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Franklin Road Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Greenwich Country Day, they will venture away from home to square off against Kingswood Oxford at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
