Basketball Recap: Church Farm Piles Up the Points Against Jenkintown

Church Farm won the last time they faced Jenkintown and things went their way on Monday too. The Church Farm Griffens really took it to the Jenkintown Drakes for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-37 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-8.

Despite the loss, Jenkintown still got an impressive performance from Desmond Trail, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 17 points in addition to five boards and five blocks. The dominant performance gave Trail a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Vnenchak, who posted five points.

Church Farm's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Jenkintown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Church Farm will head out to face off against Bayard Rustin at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jenkintown, they will venture away from home to take on Delaware County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jenkintown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
