Baseball Recap: Northbridge Beats Hopedale for Their Third Straight Victory

Northbridge entered their tilt with Hopedale on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Blue Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Avery Sabourin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Ryan Miley was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Ryder Meagher was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Northbridge's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hopedale, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Northbridge will venture away from home to take on Bartlett at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Hopedale, they will take on Douglas at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
