Volleyball Recap: Salida Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Center on Thursday, Salida came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the Telluride Miners on Friday, falling 3-0. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Miners apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Salida was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Telluride work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-22, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Salida still got an impressive performance from Cooper Fisher, who had 32 digs and one assist.

Salida's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Salida didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mancos on the 23rd. As for Telluride, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Buena Vista on the 23rd.
