Baseball Recap: Forest City Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Forest City waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering the Indians have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Forest City pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Forest City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 victory against North Union on the 20th. As for Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-8 win against North Iowa on the 19th.
