Volleyball Recap: St. Francis DeSales Takes a Loss

St. Francis DeSales managed to slip by Archbishop Alter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Stallions lost 3-0 to the Knights on Saturday. The Stallions' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-16.

Ian Shannon paced St. Francis DeSales' offense, picking up 15 kills. Shannon got some help from Dominic Trolli and his 24 assists. Taylor Barrett controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Francis DeSales' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Archbishop Alter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

St. Francis DeSales has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Bishop Fenwick on the 5th. As for Archbishop Alter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Bishop Watterson on the 5th.
