Volleyball Recap: Woodson Falls to South County in First Game of Season

Woodson had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the South County Stallions on Tuesday. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Stallions from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Woodson couldn't get the win, but they sure gave South County a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 31-33, 25-22, 25-15, 25-22.

Devin Ko went supernova For South County., getting 18 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Ko has posted since back in September of 2024.

Coincidentally, Woodson and South County will both be playing Oakton the next time they take the court. The Cavaliers will host the Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Stallions will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on September 3.
