Soccer Recap: Patriot Comes Up Short

Patriot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Gar-Field Red Wolves, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Patriot can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Gar-Field are ranked seventh).

Patriot's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Gar-Field, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-1-1 record this season.

Patriot will square off against Unity Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Patriot are facing Unity Reed at the right time seeing as Unity Reed are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Gar-Field, they will be playing at home against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
