Basketball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Wadsworth

Wadsworth lost to Twinsburg last Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Wadsworth Grizzlies managed a 42-37 win over the Twinsburg Tigers.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaci Hutton, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals. What's more, Hutton also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taylor Dye, who put up 12 points.

Wadsworth pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Twinsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-7.

Wadsworth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-36 win against Tallmadge on the 12th. As for Twinsburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-38 victory against Chardon on the 12th.
