Soccer Recap: Garner Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willow Spring, Garner was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Clayton Comets a 5-0 shutout. Garner better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Lily Ridge, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Garner has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for Clayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Garner is taking a road trip to square off against Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Garner are facing Cleveland at the right time seeing as Cleveland are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clayton, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Fuquay - Varina at 6:00 p.m.
