Volleyball Recap: Pewaukee Find Success

Pewaukee's tournament run continued when they took on Greenfield on Saturday. The Pirates skirted past the Hustlin' Hawks 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Pewaukee who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 24-26, 15-10.

David Strebe paced Pewaukee's offense, picking up 16 kills. Strebe got some help from Ethan Dalangin and his 26 assists. Dalangin was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Pewaukee's win bumped their record up to 13-19. As for Greenfield, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Coincidentally, Pewaukee and Greenfield will both be playing West Allis Central the next time they take the court. The Hustlin' Hawks will head out to face the Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
