Baseball Game Preview: Pawhuska Huskies vs. Oklahoma Union Cougars

The Pawhuska Huskies will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Oklahoma Union Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Pawhuska turned things around against Yale on Monday. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The Huskies not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25, 2024.

Canyon Hindman and Jenson Snodgrass did most of the damage at the plate: Hindman scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Snodgrass went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave Hindman a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Corlin Cass, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma Union got the win against Chelsea on Monday by a conclusive 13-1. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Baylor Murray was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Dickson, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory got Pawhuska back to even at 1-1. As for Oklahoma Union, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Pawhuska was able to grind out a solid win over Oklahoma Union in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, winning 9-5. Does Pawhuska have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oklahoma Union turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
