Volleyball Recap: Highlands Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Andrews Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Highlands wouldn't go down easily and took Andrews into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Juliet Holloway had an outrageously good game for Andrews as she had 32 digs, 22 kills, six aces, and two blocks. Kaiya Ellis was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.

Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Andrews, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Highlands by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.
