Two dominant backs in Dewayne Downey and Ty'Meere Wilkerson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hanover Area Hawkeyes will take on the Berwick Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hanover Area barely beat Greater Nanticoke Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawkeyes never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 63-0 win on Friday. Give the Hawkeyes' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Berwick's strategy against Tunkhannock on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Tigers out of the water with a 53-0 final score. The Bulldogs have beaten the Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Hanover Area was dealt a bruising 56-19 loss at the hands of Berwick when the teams last played back in September.
