Softball Game Preview: Hampton Talbots vs. North Hills Indians

The Hampton Talbots are taking a road trip to challenge the North Hills Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hampton will be strutting in after a victory while North Hills will be coming in after a loss.

Hampton is headed out to face North Hills after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Talbots' pitchers stepped up to hand Western Beaver a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Talbots in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now won three in a row.

Marissa Snyder made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Snyder was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Josie Fritsch was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs. Alena Zottola was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, North Hills fell victim to Penn-Trafford and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Warriors. The Indians have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Hampton might still be hurting after the 16-3 defeat they got from North Hills when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Talbots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
