Soccer Recap: Piedmont Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

While Piedmont's victory against Central Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cougars on Monday. Piedmont haven't had any issues with Central Academy recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Piedmont pushed their record up to 10-3-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those seven matches. As for Central Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
