Softball Game Preview: South River Rams vs. Highland Park Owls

The South River Rams will head out to challenge the Highland Park Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South River has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South River will head out to face Highland Park after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Rams lost 22-10 to Perth Amboy. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Highland Park hadn't done well against Dunellen recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Owls won by a run and slipped past the Destroyers 13-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Owls.

South River's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Highland Park, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

South River skirted past Highland Park 7-6 in their previous meeting on April 2nd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
