Basketball Game Preview: National Cathedral vs. Holton-Arms

National Cathedral is 1-9 against Holton-Arms since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. National Cathedral will head out on the road to square off against Holton-Arms at 5:45 p.m.

Last Tuesday, National Cathedral lost to Episcopal on the road by a 48-29 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as National Cathedral came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 11th in District of Columbia, while Episcopal is ranked 110th in Virginia).

Meanwhile, Holton-Arms blew past St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, posting a 58-27 victory. The win continues a trend for Holton-Arms in their matchups with St. Stephen's & St. Agnes: they've now won four in a row.

The victory got Holton-Arms back to even at 7-7. As for National Cathedral, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

National Cathedral came up short against Holton-Arms in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 40-35. Can National Cathedral avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
