Basketball Game Preview: Union Rockets vs. Wes-Del Warriors

Union hasn't had much luck against Wes-Del recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rockets will welcome the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Union was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-56 to Elwood.

Despite their defeat, Union saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Zyler Ogden, who posted 17 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Lamar Schwartz, who earned 13 points.

Meanwhile, Wes-Del played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Eastern Hancock, falling 79-32. The Warriors have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wes-Del, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Union took a serious blow against Wes-Del when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 78-31. Thankfully for the Rockets, Josiah Love (who went 14-for-20 en route to 32 points and six steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
