Softball Game Preview: Gardendale Rockets vs. Hoover Buccaneers

Gardendale hasn't had much luck against Hoover recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gardendale Rockets will head out to square off against the Hoover Buccaneers at 4:30 p.m.

Gardendale saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of Northside by a score of 2-1. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hoover hadn't done well against Spain Park recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Hoover came out on top against Spain Park by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

Gardendale now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hoover, their record now sits at 2-0.

Gardendale suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Hoover in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Can Gardendale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
