Baseball Recap: Quantico Comes Up Short

Fredericksburg V hit Quantico with a six-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 13-1 to the Victory. The Warriors have struggled against the Victory recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Quantico saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Wolfenbarker, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Wolfenbarker is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Quantico now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Fredericksburg V, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Quantico will venture away from home to square off against The Carmel School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fredericksburg V, they will head out to challenge Fairfax HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.75 runs per game on average), something the Victory will no doubt try to take advantage of.
