Basketball Preview: Sandhills/Thedford Knights vs. Mullen Broncos
Sandhills/Thedford is 0-10 against the Broncos since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sandhills/Thedford Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Mullen Broncos. Sandhills/Thedford is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Sandhills/Thedford came up short against the Bulldogs and fell 56-47. Sandhills/Thedford has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Mullen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against South Loup, falling 66-36. While losing is never fun, Mullen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the are ranked 72nd).
Sandhills/Thedford's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Mullen, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Sandhills/Thedford might still be hurting after the 52-29 loss they got from the Broncos in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Sandhills/Thedford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
