Soccer Game Preview: Riverton vs. Natrona County

The Riverton Wolverines will head out to square off against the Natrona County Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Riverton came up short against Green River last Saturday, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Riverton were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Hunter Saltsgaver, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Natrona County didn't have quite enough to beat Star Valley last Saturday and fell 2-1. Natrona County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Natrona County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Riverton, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Riverton couldn't quite get it done against Natrona County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can Riverton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
