Football Game Preview: Trabuco Hills Mustangs vs. Tustin Tillers + Official Tickets

The Trabuco Hills Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Tustin Tillers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Trabuco Hills ended up a good deal behind El Modena and lost 21-7. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Trabuco Hills' loss came about despite a quality game from Tristan Zale, who rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 244 yards on 20 of 29 attempts.

Meanwhile, Tustin got themselves on the board against Cypress on Thursday, but Cypress never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 39-0 win over the Centurions. The Tillers haven't had any issues with the Centurions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Tustin's win came from a few key players Trabuco Hills will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elijah Robinson, who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Salvant, who gained 94 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tustin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Tustin's record is now 4-2. As for Trabuco Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Trabuco Hills might still be hurting after the 35-14 defeat they got from Tustin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Eimesse Essis (who rushed for 182 yards and two scores, and also caught one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
