Volleyball Recap: Edwin O. Smith Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tolland last Monday, Edwin O. Smith came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the RHAM Raptors on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Edwin O. Smith took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-21.

RHAM was led to victory by Sami DeGray and Victoria Ciesla. DeGray had 17 digs, while Ciesla had eight digs. That's the most digs Ciesla has posted over her last six contests.

Edwin O. Smith has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for RHAM, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-5-1.

Edwin O. Smith does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for RHAM, they will head out to face off against Glastonbury at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
