Basketball Game Preview: Providence Panthers vs. Cuthbertson Cavaliers

The Providence Panthers and the Cuthbertson Cavaliers will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Providence saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 60-52 to Ardrey Kell. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Knights are ranked 72nd).

Meanwhile, Cuthbertson also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to The Rock by a score of 56-48.

Cuthbertson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Providence, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Things could have been worse for Providence, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-49 loss to Cuthbertson when the teams last played back in November. Can Providence avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
