The Franklin Towne Warriors will face off against the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Franklin Towne came out on top against New Foundations on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over New Foundations. The Warriors haven't had any issues with New Foundations recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Braeden Dahl looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Carlo Quattrone was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Franklin Towne is undefeated when Quattrone posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Reis, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Franklin Towne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Abraham Lincoln). They blew past Bodine 16-1 on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Railsplitters with their most commanding win of the season.
James Davis made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jerriel Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Miguel Mendoza was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.
The victory got Franklin Towne back to even at 6-6. As for Abraham Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Franklin Towne hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. However, it's not like Abraham Lincoln struggles in that department as they've averaged .343. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
