Baseball Game Preview: North Fork Miners vs. Rangely Panthers

North Fork has gone a perfect 10-0 against Rangely recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Miners will host the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. North Fork is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

North Fork proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Olathe 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Miners have posted since March 12th.

The team relied heavily on Bronson Hall, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joe Hollembeak, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rangely was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 7-2 to Meeker.

North Fork's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Rangely, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

North Fork took their victory against Rangely in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 14-4 score. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
