Baseball Recap: Summit Country Day Takes a Loss

Summit Country Day suffered their biggest defeat since April 24th on Friday. They came up short against the Elder Panthers, falling 13-4. The Silver Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Summit Country Day saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Gentry, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Summit Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Elder, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Summit Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elder, they will head out on the road to square off against Indian Hill at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.9, the Braves 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
