Soccer Game Preview: Center Point vs. St. Anthony

The Center Point Pirates will head out to take on the St. Anthony Yellowjackets at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Center Point fell victim to Holy Cross and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Center Point have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, St. Anthony was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

St. Anthony's goal came courtesy of Emery Ramirez-Espinosa, who's now up to eight this season.

Center Point's loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1. St. Anthony's draw gives them a new season record of 5-6-1.
