Miami Christian came tearing into Monday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mater Bay Academy Rays with a sharp 13-2 win. The Victors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Miami Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mater Bay Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
