The Diman RVT Bengals will venture away from home to take on the Durfee Hilltoppers at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Diman RVT is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Diman RVT came out on top against Upper Cape Cod RVT on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Bengals were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Rams. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Bengals this season.

Samuel Perry was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Tanyon Reis was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Matt Almeida also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Durfee fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bishop Feehan on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Shamrocks by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Hilltoppers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Diman RVT's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Durfee, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Diman RVT took their victory against Durfee when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
