Football Recap: Astoria Piles Up the Points Against the Dalles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stayton, Astoria was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past The Dalles Riverhawks to the tune of 31-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Fishermen needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The win got Astoria back to even at 1-1. As for The Dalles, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Astoria and The Dalles will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Fishermen see the field they'll take on Molalla at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for The Dalles, their break will end when they face Philomath at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
