Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Monte Vista lost against Buena Vista back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates fell just short of the Demons by a score of 3-2. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monte Vista took Buena Vista into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 23-25, 16-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Monte Vista still got an impressive performance from Reminee Mascarenas, who had 17 digs. Mascarenas has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Monte Vista now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Buena Vista, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Monte Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against North Fork on the 12th. As for Buena Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Denver Christian on the 6th.
