Recap: Oceanside Mariners vs. Winslow Black Raiders

The Oceanside Mariners put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Winslow at home to the tune of 98-37. Oceanside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 21 points or more this season.

Bailey Breen was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double on 40 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Oceanside's points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Daggett, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.

Oceanside pushed their record up to 17-0 with that win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Winslow, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Oceanside will be playing in front of their home fans against Leavitt at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Oceanside's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Winslow, they will head out on the road to challenge Mount View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Winslow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Mount View is ranked 32nd).
