Basketball Recap: North Shore Piles Up the Points Against Channelview

A well-balanced attack led North Shore over Channelview in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the North Shore Mustangs blew the Channelview Falcons out of the water with a 72-33 final score. The Mustangs pushed the score to 56-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Leading North Shore to victory were Da'Marcus Sloan and Sean Mayberry. Sloan posted 14 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds, while Mayberry went 5 for 6 en route to 11 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Mayberry a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Gray, who earned six points and three steals.

The win got North Shore back to even at 15-15. As for Channelview, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season.

North Shore has already played their next contest, a 73-43 defeat against Atascocita on the 28th. Channelview has also already played their next game (against Goose Creek Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
