Softball Game Preview: New Hope Trojans vs. Corinth Warriors

For the second straight game, New Hope will face off against Corinth. The Trojans will host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New Hope has seven straight victories, Corinth has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, New Hope got the win against Corinth by a conclusive 9-2. Considering the Trojans have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Corinth's part, Kinley Pittman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and six unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Addyson Moore was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

New Hope pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Corinth, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
