Meanwhile, Warren Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-0 to Todd County Central. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Dragons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Metcalfe County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs this season. As for Warren Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
