Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Texas T walked away with it. They managed a 46-42 win over the Johnson County Sports Association Lions on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Tornadoes, who have now won three contests in a row.

Hunter Strickland threw for 282 yards and four TDs. Koen Pope was his top target, picking up 161 receiving yards and three scores. On the ground, Noah Torres rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries.

West Texas T's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, West Texas T will face off against Stephenville FAITH at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson County Sports Association does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
