Softball Recap: Wallkill Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Wallkill put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Highland Huskies by a score of 8-5. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Gianna Allessandro was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Mikaela McCue was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Wallkill's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wallkill is set to face off against their familiar foe Roosevelt at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Highland will challenge rival Our Lady of Lourdes at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
