Volleyball Game Preview: Fenton Bison vs. Willowbrook Warriors

The Fenton Bison are taking a road trip to face off against the Willowbrook Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fenton will be strutting in after a victory while Willowbrook will be coming in after a loss.

Fenton took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Leyden. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bison as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

While Fenton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Willowbrook came up short against Hinsdale Central on Thursday and fell 2-0.

While Willowbrook ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Fenton will have to keep a close watch on Tess Doyle and Melanie Marinier, a pair of players who had a big impact on Willowbrook's prior game. Doyle had 12 digs, while Marinier had seven assists and five digs.

Willowbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Fenton, their win bumped their record up to 8-16.
