Baseball Recap: Century Takes a Loss

Century was the 8-4 winner over Mayo when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 5-3 on Thursday.

Century saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Ruff, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mayo, their record now sits at 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Century will take on rival Red Wing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mayo is set to challenge their familiar foe Albert Lea at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
