Football Recap: Vernon Hills Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Vernon Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Highland Park Giants, falling 35-14. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 43-36 to the Giants when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colin McMurray threw for 71 yards on eight of 23 attempts. Devin Ratajczyk was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.

Vernon Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Highland Park, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
