Baseball Game Preview: Dominican Knights vs. Racine Lutheran/Prairie Crusaders

For the second straight game, Dominican will face off against Racine Lutheran/Prairie. The Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Dominican needed a bit of extra time to put away Racine Lutheran/Prairie. They won by a run and slipped past the Crusaders 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Tyler Feldbruegge made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 4.1 innings pitched. He has become a key player for Dominican: the team is undefeated when he posts at least ten strikeouts, but 10-14 otherwise. Feldbruegge was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Austin Wheelock was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colin Flattery, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Dominican's record is now 13-14. As for Racine Lutheran/Prairie, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19.
